FAQs

Who can become a volunteer?

Hopewell Center serves a community filled with diverse needs, so we welcome a wide range of volunteers to help us meet those needs. Many of our volunteers are long-term volunteers who help out on a consistent basis, but we also have opportunities for groups and individuals to complete one-time projects. If you have a specific skill or hobby that you think could be helpful to Hopewell Center clients, we’d love to hear from you!

Can I bring a friend to volunteer with me?

Yes, Hopewell Center does close for public holidays.

Does Hopewell Center close for bad weather?

We ask all of our volunteers to dress in a way that ensures comfort and safety while maintaining a respectful and professional appearance. Our goal is to create a welcoming and respectful environment while preparing you for the diverse activities you’ll be a part of!

  • Since you may be participating in physical activities or assisting individuals, sturdy, close-toed shoes are required for all volunteers.
  • We recommend wearing casual, comfortable clothing that allows for ease of movement, such as jeans, khakis, or leggings paired with a simple top.
  • Please avoid clothing that is revealing, has offensive language or images, or could be easily damaged.
