Dr. Rhasheda Shepherd serves as President and Chief Executive Officer of Hopewell Center, Inc., where she leads the organization’s mission to support individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities in living meaningful, self-directed lives. A seasoned healthcare and nonprofit executive, Dr. Shepherd brings extensive experience in disability services, behavioral health, organizational strategy, and operational leadership.
She holds a Doctor of Education in Healthcare Leadership, a Master of Public Administration in Nonprofit Leadership, and a Bachelor of Applied Science in Healthcare Administration. Prior to joining Hopewell, she served as Executive Director of The Arc Community Advocates, where she strengthened governance, expanded community partnerships, and advanced inclusive advocacy for individuals with disabilities.
Dr. Shepherd is recognized across the disability and human services sector for her commitment to equity, systems improvement, and mission-driven leadership. At Hopewell Center, she is focused on strengthening services, fostering community collaboration, and ensuring sustainable growth that honors both the organization’s legacy and the evolving needs of the individuals and families it serves.
